Eds-art

  Just a short glimpse into the vast World Wide Web, I find so many wonderful artists, talented in the use of many mediums. I know how we artists are. We usually judge ourselves more harshly than others. One critique that brings an artist's spirit down most likely is outweighed by all of those you liked the work, but never commented on it. Finding and creating that one special piece is what we all want to do. Many of use thrive on responses to the art. Some don't care as long as the creation is self-satisfying or expresses the meaning to others. So, there lies the choice. What drives the choice? I have a great hunch that the choices we make f

Most people would have to agree that art is any form of expression, that can be shared through any sensorial means (sight, touch, smell, taste) and even to one's soul (mind/intellect, heart/feelings). The purpose of art may be the need to create, the need to want to experience those senses, or maybe just to keep and give our lives a purpose. By that definition, anything could be art to any person. A plastic bottle on the side of the road, a scribbled drawing of a two year old, a gourmet meal, a song, or even a detailed nude painting/photo posed to expresses the nature of the human figure, all are expressions that were created, yet not all are

Click click click click click...  time moves on and I must ask myself, "What have I done with that time? Have I used each second wisely? NO... Can I get them back? ... NO... Shall I just do the best I can and enjoy life?   Yes... and maybe I will get a few extra if I am happy.  If not, at least I will die happy."
